Southsea business funds life-saving food for malnourished children

NeedStreetFood is a street food business based in Southsea who use their sales to fund life saving shipments of Plumpy’Nut bars.
Founder Pete Hunt was inspired by the American shoe brand TOMS, who donate a pair of shoes every time a pair is purchased.
The bars are specifically formulated for the nutritional rehabilitation of young children and adults suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
They have sent over a total of 119,000 bars to Northern Syria.
They currently hold kitchen residency at The Merchant House on Albert Road and run regular food pop-ups in London.
